For many trading firms, the past few years have been a whirlwind. Between market volatility, evolving client demographics, emerging asset classes, and the continued rise of more global, multi-asset strategies, the challenge of ensuring safe, fair markets is greater than ever. Throw in a steady rise in enforcement actions and a healthy dose of regulatory uncertainty – caused by reforms like the SEC’s expanded broker-dealer definition – and it’s little wonder that market participants are thinking more and more about what it means to conduct effective trade surveillance.

Unveiling our refreshed brand 

Today, we’re thrilled to introduce our new brand for Trillium Surveyor. Complete with a new logo, a revamped website, bold colors, and a more modern look and feel, our new identity reflects our ability to solve incredibly tough compliance challenges through high-performance technology, intuitive user experiences, consultative education and outstanding client service. 

One of the main themes of our new brand is captured at the top of the website homepage: “Trade Surveillance Made Elegant.” In mathematics, an “elegant solution” refers to an approach to solving a complex problem that is simple, effective, and efficient.  Our lead architects embraced this principle while designing the Surveyor platform. By thoroughly analyzing the most pressing challenges faced by firms, they developed a solution from scratch that effectively addresses these issues with minimal user friction. This seemingly simple concept highlights how our platform’s numerous features and easy experiences come together to form a cohesive, impactful offering. Just like our trade surveillance tools, our website is easy to navigate while still being powerful and informative.  

These qualities have been integral to our product from our earliest days. Born from the needs of a high-volume, low-latency proprietary trading firm – Surveyor was originally spun out of proprietary trading firm Trillium – we have a firsthand understanding of what’s required from a technology and support perspective to perform comprehensive trade surveillance. That knowledge shines through in all we do. Our software is purpose-built to reduce false positives and save time while minimizing the risk of fines. With the steadfast support of Lee Maschler, our founder and owner, our offerings are designed to make an impact – because they have to. 

Embracing a New Era with a Revitalized Focus 

 Arming compliance teams with the tools to analyze, investigate, and properly document trading activity has always been our bread and butter — but while our core offerings, philosophy, and value proposition haven’t changed, our rebrand represents a new era for our business. Over the past year, we’ve made some significant strides: building out our executive leadership, business development, and technology teams, refining our go-to-market-strategy, and enhancing our platform to enable greater clarity and self-service. Our new brand and website make it official. 

We’re doing all this while being guided by our core values: diligence, innovation, reliability, collaboration, and impact. We are committed to serving as a partner, a resource, and an accelerator for our clients. With a great platform and a team of experts that are motivated to continue solving some of the industry’s biggest challenges, we can’t wait for what’s next.
