It’s hard to believe that a full year has passed since we launched the first edition of The Surveyor Monitor! In that time, we’ve explored everything from exciting platform enhancements to how the latest SEC and FINRA regulations are set to shape the financial landscape.
With 2025 now in full swing, firms are facing a rapidly evolving market landscape under the Trump administration. The crypto markets are poised for continued high-volume, high-volatility trading, while other non-equity asset classes like fixed income face increasing regulatory scrutiny. In anticipation of these shifts, our team has prioritized enhancements to our surveillance capabilities in these key areas.
Our partnership with crypto market data provider Kaiko has strengthened our surveillance capabilities, while our expanded coverage of European markets reflects our commitment to supporting traders and investors worldwide. Other areas of focus include expanding our best execution analytics offerings and providing targeted support for RIAs and buy-side firms — two groups that have been particularly affected by the heightened regulatory oversight and increasingly complex trading environment.
All the while, we are constantly engaging with the regulation experts and compliance professionals in our network. While many changes on the horizon – such as FINRA’s proposed fee increases for broker-dealers – won’t take effect until 2026, they underscore a broader push for enhanced oversight and higher stakes for compliance. Staying ahead of these evolving regulations is critical, and Surveyor’s comprehensive, best-in-class platform equips firms with the insights needed to detect emerging risks before regulatory action is taken.
With so much change on the horizon, we’re excited to attend an array of industry conferences – including the IAA Compliance Conference and the SIFMA C&L Annual Seminar in March — that will help to shape our roadmap for the year ahead. As always, conversations on the ground with industry leaders are the best way to get a firsthand perspective on how our platform can deliver elegant, impactful solutions.

STA Chicago Mid-Winter Meeting
Last week, our Head of Sales AJ LeGaye and Head of Business Development Rob Cope hit the Windy City for STA Chicago’s 99th Annual Mid-Winter Meeting. With numerous regulatory shifts on the horizon, we enjoyed connecting with industry leading firms to discuss how our platform can support evolving trade surveillance needs.
